Retain Judge Tom Chiola--Mark "Yes" No.156 on Nov 7
Many of you may not know that my name will be appearing on the November 7 ballot in the list of 71 Cook County Circuit Court Judges who are seeking retention. I know that the election is still 10 days away, but many people are voting early, and I need your help to get out the word about me. Would you please email all of your family members, friends, co-workers and/or neighbors who live in Cook County on my behalf? Below is a suggestion which you can copy and paste and add your own comments. I really appreciate anything you can do to get the word out to Mark "yes" No.156 to retain Judge Tom Chiola.

Retain Judge Tom Chiola--Mark "Yes" No.156 on Nov 7
Tom Chiola is one of the 71 Cook County Circuit Court Judges whose names will appear on the November 7 ballot. Tom was the first openly gay candidate elected to office in Illinois when he won his race for Judge in the lakefront subcircuit in 1994. Circuit Court Judges must stand for retention every six years and must receive a 60% "yes" vote to be retained.
Tom has been found "recommended" or "qualified" by the Chicago Bar Association, Woman's Bar Association of Illinois, Illinois State Bar Association, Gay and Lesbian Bar Association of Chicago, Cook County Bar Association (consisting of African-American members), Asian American Bar Association, Black Women's Lawyers' Association, Decalogue Society of Lawyers (consisting of Jewish members), Hispanic Lawyers' Association of Illinois, and Puerto Rican Bar Association of Illinois.. In addition the Suburban Bar Coalition (made up of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, West Suburban Bar Association, South Suburban Bar Association and Southwest Suburban Bar Association) found Chiola to be "Highly Recommended" and the Arab-American Bar Association of Illinois found Chiola to be "Highly Qualified".
Chiola has also been endorsed by the IVI-IPO, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Free Press and the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund. (No endorsements have been made as of this date by the Chicago Sun Times.)
Anyone in Cook County may vote to retain Judge Chiola. Mark "Yes" No.156 for Chiola on the November 7 ballot.
